Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine awarded representatives of the National Police and the National Platform of Sports Integrity for their efforts in combating match-fixing

The Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Matvii Bidnyi, presented Ministry’s awards to representatives of the National Platform of Sports Integrity and the National Police of Ukraine for their significant contribution to the fight for fair sport.

"Countering the manipulation of sports results and preserving sports integrity is one of our top priorities. We are proud that Ukraine was one of the first countries in Europe to ratify the Macolin Convention and is actively combating such an evil as match-fixing today," - said Matvii Bidnyi.

The National Platform of Sports Integrity, coordinated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, is an interagency working group established to uphold sports integrity and combat the manipulation of sports competitions. Thanks to its activities, in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, criminal groups organizing match-fixing were recently exposed.
