Ukraine's powerlifting team raises awareness of integrity ahead of the World Games 2025
On July 8, an educational seminar on integrity in sports for representatives of the Ukrainian national powerlifting team was held at the Koncha Zaspa Olympic Training and Sports Center. The event was held by the National Platform of Sports Integrity as part of the preparation of athletes for the World Games 2025.
The seminar was aimed not only at raising awareness of key integrity challenges, but also at providing athletes with practical knowledge to counteract manipulation during international competitions. Particular attention was paid to potential threats from the shadow betting market, as well as attempts to interfere with the course of competitions or the use of equipment.

The participants have learned about typical examples of recruiting athletes, the risks of disseminating confidential information, and algorithms for dealing with suspected manipulation of results. They also discussed mechanisms to protect themselves, their reputation and future in sports.
The speakers at the seminar were representatives of the National Platform for Sports Integrity Denys Polubinskyi and Sviatoslav Syrota, who emphasized the role of knowledge and awareness in preserving the principles of fair play.

Such initiatives are part of a systematic strategy to build a culture of integrity among Ukrainian athletes, especially on the eve of key international competitions.
