On July 23, the National Platform of Sports Integrity held another online seminar for representatives of the Ukrainian Mountaineering and Rock Climbing Federation. The event was part of an educational program to prepare the national team for participation in the 2025 World Games in Chengdu, China.

Participants were athletes, coaches, and officials of the Federation, who received up-to-date information on key threats to integrity in modern sports. Speakers were Andrii Nekrutov, an expert of the National Platform, and Sviatoslav Syrota, head of the NGO “Play Fair.”

In their presentations, they outlined the main challenges that may arise during participation in international competitions, in particular those related to illegal betting and attempts at outside influence. Special attention was paid to the typology of result manipulation, in particular to schemes where an athlete or team can gradually, even unconsciously, be drawn into dishonest practices.

The speakers emphasized the importance of awareness among athletes and coaches: knowledge and vigilance are the basis for protection against threats that may sometimes seem unclear.

Such events are part of the National Platform's systematic strategy aimed at fostering a culture of fair play in Ukraine, where sporting results are determined solely by skill, effort, and strength of spirit, rather than manipulation.
