The Ukrainian Olympic team visited the IOC "Athletes 365 - Protect yourself against competition manipulation"

The National Platform of Sports Integrity with the support of the NOC of Ukraine have organized for Ukrainian Olympic team visit to the Athletes 365 house in the Olympic Village in Paris, where they received important information on manipulation in sports.

 Representatives of Athletes 365 spoke about the risks of participating in manipulated sports competitions, when athletes deliberately fail to achieve results or deliberately lose to gain some benefit. Among the manipulations, they also considered the influence of officials who deliberately make wrong decisions that affect sports competition. For the International Olympic Committee, the Paris 2024 Olympics became a challenge due to the scale of the growth of betting companies' (legal and illegal) involvement in sponsoring international top-level sports. That's why the IOC Athletes 365 created a location within the framework of the Olympics to explain to athletes in clear and simple language what manipulation is and what rules should be followed to prevent manipulation:

RULE #1: Do not agree on the outcome of the competition and compete fairly.

RULE #2: Do not bet on your own sport or any event at the Olympic Games.

RULE #3: Do not share inside information about health problems or sports tactics.

RULE #4: Be sure to tell us if manipulation has taken place!

Reminder. If you witness or suspect that a sporting event has been manipulated, you must report it immediately!
