The Ukrainian Dragon Boat National Team joined an educational seminar on integrity in sports

On June 6, the X-Park sports complex hosted an educational seminar for athletes and coaches of the Ukrainian Dragon Boat National Team. The event was organized by the National Platform for Sports Integrity in preparation for the 2025 World Games and the implementation of an educational program to prevent the manipulation of sports competitions.

 
A lot of time was devoted to the threats that may arise during international competitions, in particular from the illegal betting market in Asia. Participants were emphasized the potential for third-party attempts to influence athletes or even equipment, and discussed the rules that must be followed to maintain sports integrity.
 
As part of the seminar, representatives of the National Platform spoke in detail about typical schemes of manipulating results, explaining the mechanisms by which an athlete can be gradually drawn into a contractual competition. Also, athletes were informed about possible illegal or inappropriate modifications of equipment aimed at obtaining undue advantage during their competitions at the 2025 World Games.

Such educational initiatives are a part of the National Platform's long-term strategy aimed at creating a systemic culture of fair play in Ukraine. Participation in the 2025 World Games in Chengdu (China) is not only a sporting challenge, but also a test of moral endurance. It is knowledge and awareness that help athletes protect themselves, their reputation and careers.
