The National Platform of Sports Integrity met with the Ukrainian futsal community

On December 6, the National Platform of Sports Integrity met with representatives of the Futsal Association of Ukraine and with players of futsal teams. The main topic of the meeting was the issue of manipulation of sports competitions and their prevention.

The President of the Futsal Association of Ukraine Serhii Vladyko held a motivational speech to the participants, urging them to adhere to the principles of sports integrity. He told athletes about potential consequences they could face if Federation will found out they participated in a match-fixing games. Nataliia Radchuk, Secretary of the Working Group of the National Platform of Sports Integrity presented the activities of the National Platform, described the principles of its work and current results. Nataliia Radchuk also presented the new website of the National Platform and its functionality, showing futsal players how to use this resource and what information should be provided in case of violations of fair play.

Svyatoslav Syrota, member of the Working Group of the National Platform of Sports Integrity and head of the NGO "FairPlay", spoke about the rules and principles of integrity that athletes should follow and, using specific examples from the history of football, outlined the negative consequences of participating in match-fixing. Honored Ukrainian football coach Vyacheslav Grozny also joined the meeting. Speaking to the athletes coach shared historical facts of punishments for world football players and coaches when they were caught manipulating sports matches. With his extensive experience as a coach, Vyacheslav Grozny encouraged the players to follow the rules of fair play as an essential element of every athlete's sports career.
