The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine with the support of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine and betting operator FAVBET, organized a meeting of the National Platform of Sports Integrity with representatives of national sports federations. The working group of the National Platform of Sports Integrity was created in the context of implementing the provisions of the Council of Europe The Convention on the Manipulation of Sports Competitions under the coordination of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and with the participation of representatives of government agencies, sports organizations and the companies.

Secretary of the working group Nataliia Radchuk presented activities of the National Platform of Sports Integrity and its website (fairsport.gov.ua). First results of the work and statistics of reports on the manipulation of sports competitions processed by the working group were presented, as well as information on the measures taken and planned to raise awareness of the sports movement about the dangers of manipulating sports competitions and their consequences.

Oleksii Perevezentsev, First Vice President of the NOC of Ukraine, Deputy Chairman of the working group of the "National Platform of Sports Integrity", presented information on the activities of the International Olympic Committee and the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine to combat manipulation in sports, the documents developed by these organizations and their bodies authorized to implement the sports integrity policy. Special attention was paid to the work of the IOC's Sports Integrity Hotline and the rules for national sports federations developed to implement the Olympic Movement Code on the Prevention of Manipulation of Sports Competitions. During the seminar, a lively discussion took place with the participation of representatives of national sports federations and representatives of the National Platform. Cases of match fixing in sports, mechanisms for counteracting manipulation of sports competitions in sports organizations, and best international and national practices for preventing unlawful influence on the course of sports competitions were discussed.

The National Platform of Sports Integrity will continue its practice of holding events and meetings with sports federations and sports clubs' management to form a powerful community in Ukraine that defends the integrity of sports.
