The National Platform of Sports Integrity develops cooperation with the Ukrainian Hockey Federation

On June 14, members of the National Platform of Sports Integrity met with representatives of the Ukrainian Hockey Federation at the Olympic House. Vadym Gutzeit, President of the National Olympic Committee, and Serhiy Dontsov, President of the Ukrainian Hockey Federation, welcomed the participants and stressed the importance and relevance of integrity issues in sports in general and field hockey in particular. 

Oleksiy Perevezentsev, Deputy Head of the National Platform of Sports Integrity and First Vice President of the NOC of Ukraine, informed about the innovations of the International Olympic Committee in the fight against the manipulation of sports events and the measures taken by the National Olympic Committee in the field of sports integrity. Particular attention was paid to the presentation of enhanced control measures at the Olympic Games 2024 in Paris regarding possible violations of the rules of fair play by Olympians.

Nataliia Radchuk, Secretary of the Iational Platform, Head of Department of International Cooperation and European Integration of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, presented the legal framework for combating integrity violations in sport and the challenges facing the sports community in the framework of Ukraine's implementation of the provisions of the Macolin Convention. In addition, the Secretary of the National Platform informed about the work of the Interagency Working Group, which brings together representatives of government agencies, sports-related NGOs and the business sector. She also emphasised the innovations expected to be introduced to the website of the National Platform of Sports Integrity, including its transformation into an information and communication system that will improve communication between all stakeholders in the framework of reviewing and investigating reports of possible manipulation of sports competitions.

Sergiy Kachinsky, Vice President of the Ukrainian Hockey Federation, presented the developments within the framework of the launch of the Ethics and Fair Play Committee and measures to prevent possible violations of the fair play rules.
