The delegation of the Ministry of Youth and Sports took part in a session of the Network of National Platforms
The delegation of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, headed by the Secretary of the Interagency Working Group "National Platform of Sports Integrity" Nataliia Radchuk, took part in the online format of the 5th session of the Group of Copenhagen (GoC), a network of National Platforms Against the Manipulation of Sports Competitions.
During her speech at the meeting, Nataliia Radchuk informed about the development of the National Platform of Sports Integrity and emphasized that despite the difficult situation in the sports sector due to the full-scale war, Ukraine has certain achievements and developments in the implementation of the principles of sports integrity defined by the Macolin Convention.
Thus, the National Platform of Sports Integrity has already received and reviewed 17 alerts about suspicious matches, several of which were classified as violations of sports integrity and sent to sports federations. One s being investigated by law enforcement agencies.
Nataliia Radchuk also reported that the National Platform of Sports Integrity is holding events for sports federations to build their capacity to respond on cases of manipulation of sports competitions and to conduct educational work among athletes and other sports stakeholders.
