Participants of the Ukrainian Softball Women Championship held an educational seminar on integrity in sports

On 30 May, the National Platform of Sports Integrity held an educational seminar for participants of the Ukrainian Softball Women Championship. The main goal of the event was to raise awareness among athletes about the risks associated with manipulating the results of competitions, as well as to form an understanding of how integrity affects the building of a successful sports career.
During the seminar, representatives of the National Platform spoke about the key areas of their work, in particular, they analysed the current challenges faced by athletes in Ukraine and abroad.

Special attention was paid to how athletes can recognise the first signals of possible competition manipulation, how to respond to attempts at pressure from outsiders, and why it is so important not to keep silent about even the slightest suspicion. It was emphasised that ignoring such situations or remaining silent in response can not only damage the sporting future, but also lead to severe disciplinary penalties.

The seminar was another step in building a systematic anti-corruption education in the field of sports in Ukraine. It is known that in many leading countries this practice has long been mandatory, in particular for representatives of Olympic sports. The introduction of such initiatives in domestic softball demonstrates the federation's commitment to creating an honest sports environment.
