On July 18, the National Platform of Sports Integrity held an online educational event for athletes and coaches of the Ukrainian national Muay Thai boxing team. The event was held as part of the national team's preparation for participation in the 2025 World Games to be held in Chengdu, China.
Among the speakers of the event were Nataliia Radchuk, Secretary of the National Platform, and Svyatoslav Syrota, expert and head of NGO "Play Fair".
Nataliia Radchuk spoke about the work of the National Platform and the mechanisms for preventing manipulation of competition results in Ukraine. She paid attention to the risks associated with illegal betting and integrity protection tools at the international level.
Svyatoslav Syrota focused on practical advice for athletes, including how to recognize risky situations, avoid dangerous contacts, and protect their reputation and sports career. He also emphasized the importance of reporting - how to properly and safely report suspicious cases or attempts at influence.
Such educational initiatives contribute to the development of a culture of fair play and raise awareness of the challenges that sports movement representatives may face at international competitions. Preparation for the World Games is not only about training and discipline, but also about the ability to maintain integrity in difficult situations.
