National Platform of Sports Integrity held a joint event with the Ukrainian Badminton Federation

On March 15, members of Working Group of the National Platform of Sports Integrity met with representatives of the Ukrainian Badminton Federation, with the participation of experts from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the NOC of Ukraine.

Nataliia Radchuk, Secretary of the Working Group "National Platform of Sports Integrity", Head of the Department of International Cooperation and European Integration of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, presented to participants the main trends and issues of manipulation of sports competitions at the international and national levels. Nataliia Radchuk presented the activities of the National Platform of Sport Integrity and the mechanisms for reporting about possible manipulations, including an option to report through the platform's website.

Oleksii Perevezentsev, Deputy Chairman of the National Platform of Sport Integrity and First Vice President of the NOC of Ukraine, informed about the activities of the IOC and the NOC of Ukraine to prevent the manipulation of sports competitions. Oleksii Perevezentsev noted the proactive position of the Ukrainian Badminton Federation, which implements the best international practices, including those related to countering the manipulation of sports competitions.

Olesia Nikolenko, Chief Secretary of the Ukrainian Badminton Federation, confirmed the federation's interest in disseminating information among athletes about the sports integrity, signs and risks of manipulation, and informed about the federation's activities to combat manipulation in this sport, based on the experience of the international federation. All participants of the event agreed to further cooperate and hold joint training seminars for athletes on integrity in sports in future.
