A representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine took part in the Council of Europe education programme on investigating sports integrity violations
Nataliia Radchuk, Head of the Department for International Cooperation and European Integration of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Secretary of the Working Group "National Platform of Sports Integrity", took part in the Council of Europe training course "Tackling Competitions Manipulation in Sport", which took place from March 25 to 28 in Strasbourg.
The training was attended by specialists from 19 countries that have ratified or signed The Convention on the Manipulation of Sports Competitions and represent organizations that coordinate activities to combat the manipulation of sports competitions and are authorized to consider cases of violations of the integrity of sports (National platforms).
The education programme on how to detect, investigate and prosecute match-fixing through national and international cooperation was aimed at sharing best practices and experience in conducting investigations of sports integrity violations, including cases of manipulation of sports competitions.

During presentation, Nataliia Radchuk informed about the activities of the National Platform of Sports Integrity. She informed the participants about achievements and challenges faced by the Ukrainian side in the implementation of the Council of Europe Convention, about the legal aspects of the National Platform, and highlighted its initiative to amend national legislation to strengthen criminal liability for manipulating of results of sports competitions.
