• ULIS welcomes the Ukraine National Platform of Sports Integrity of Ukraine as an Associate Member.
• The National Platform operates under Ukraine’s Ministry of Youth and Sports and coordinates national efforts to prevent and combat sports manipulation.
Lausanne, 15th of July – ULIS is proud to announce that the Ukraine National Platform on Sports Integrity has joined its network as an Associate Member.
For reference. United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports (ULIS) is an international association of state lotteries and licensed sports betting operators whose activities are aimed at protecting sports integrity and combating the manipulation of sports competitions. The organization monitors suspicious betting activity, facilitates the international exchange of information, and promotes coordination among betting operators, sports organizations, national platforms, and public authorities.
"We are pleased to become part of the ULIS network," said Matvii Bidnyi, Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and Chair of the National Platform on Sports Integrity. “The manipulation of sports competitions is a global challenge that cannot be addressed by a single organization alone. Joining ULIS provides us with access to advanced analytical tools and international expertise. We are joining forces with our international partners to combat all forms of sports corruption. Our goal is to protect and foster a fair sporting environment for athletes and fans alike".
ULIS General Secretary Luca Esposito said that having National Platforms joining the association strengthens our commitment to safeguarding sports integrity in collaboration with international public authorities and underpins our support for the Macolin Convention principles.”
ULIS holds observer status with the Committee of the Parties to the Council of Europe Convention on the Manipulation of Sports Competitions (the Macolin Convention) and is one of the key international partners in the field of safeguarding the integrity of sport. The Macolin Convention is a legal instrument and the only rule of international law on the manipulation of sports competitions, and it is open for signature by all countries.
